At Tokyo Olympics 2020, Simone added two new medals to her tally, taking her overall Olympic accolades to seven; This is a feat no other American gymnast has ever reached.
In conversation with The Cut, Simone reflected upon her achievements. Interestingly, like fans, Simone too seems unaware of the secret behind her magical moves. She said, “It’s kind of unheard of to win as many things as I have. I don’t physically understand how I do it. It was a God-given talent.”

From newbie to GOAT
19-year-old Simone entered her first Olympic games in 2016 in Rio. Notably, she instantly rose to fame, clinching four astonishing gold medals and securing one bronze medal.

Hence, at the Tokyo Olympics 2020, she was the favorite for glory. However, in a move that shocked the world, Simone withdrew from most of her events, citing mental health concerns. Although, making an eventual appearance, later on, she stunningly clinched two medals and silenced her critics.
