Sensational precision, graceful flexibility, and an oomph to be a showstopper—all qualities of a top gymnast. And Victoria Nguyen embodies them all to the end. The star sensation has been leaving her mark on the mat for quite some time now. While she is one of the best sports right now, there is more to the story of why one should look forward to Victoria that makes her even more special.
The athlete has been at the forefront of gymnastics and has been an integral member of both the Georgia and Florida Gators. Victoria was part of multiple NCAA teams for the Florida Gators. She is also a three-time All-American. Victoria has represented Team USA at both the senior and junior levels in the 2016-17 and 2014-15 seasons, respectively.
The fact that she was coached by the former coach of Olympian Simone Biles further solidifies Nguyen’s credibility. With her recent graduation from Florida, many are eager to see what’s next for the gymnast. She has already represented her country at the 2017 World Cup in London and has gained national fanfare.

Victoria, who has been part of both the Florida Gators and Georgia Bulldogs, is currently pursuing her master’s. We might expect her to come back as a fifth-year returnee based on the fact she is still in Florida. For those wondering how she reached this stage of her career, it all started in Texas.
Where does Victoria Nguyen hail from?
Victoria Nguyen was born in the small town of Port Lavaca, TX. Soon after that, she moved to Palacios. It was here that she was first introduced to gymnastics at age nine. She has been involved with the sport since then. After completing level 9 in 2013, she started training with the national team training teams.
This was the start of her career as an elite athlete. When asked how she started gymnastics, she states, “My mother thought it would be a great idea to put me in class to keep me busy while we were waiting for my brothers to finish their baseball lessons. After the 1st rec class, a head coach extended an invitation for me to join her team, and I’ve loved it.”
Her parents, Tony Nguyen and Nikki Nguyen, have supported her since then. She is not the only athlete in her family. Five of her six siblings also took part in sports across baseball, gymnastics, and figure skating. But one can argue that she was the most successful out of the bunch.
Victoria Nguyen was the second in all-around at the 2017 World Cup and was a significant member of the Jesolo Trophy team for the US team. However, an arm injury significantly halted her high school exploits.

Nguyen set collegiate bests in the NCAA Team Final, scoring 9.8875 on vault, 9.875 on balance beam, and 39.55 in the all-around. Notable highlights included a 9.925 on the floor against Georgia and at LSU, as well as a pair of 9.90s in her Gator debut on bars and floor. At Georgia, she earned All-SEC honors in 2022 with a 9.90 on bars and posted a season-best 9.875 on beam.
In her junior year, she joined the Florida Gators. Here she continued the 9+ scores when she scored a 9.9125 at the NCAA semifinals. This resulted in her getting the third ALL-SEC honor for the third consecutive. Victoria Nguyen has shown tenacity and acumen throughout her college career, and now questions arise if she will continue her ventures starting this spring.
