The PBR World Finals 2023 are rapidly approaching. The top two bull riders in the world, Kaique Pacheco and Jose Vitor Leme, are expected to engage in a fierce struggle in the next world championship. However, Brazilian cowboy Dener Barbosa showed the arena how seasons can be ended in style by winning the most recent UTB event with a score of 90.25.
The instant the official PBR channel uploaded the footage of Dener Barbosa riding Blue Duck, it went viral on YouTube. Since it occurred at the end of the regular season for Unleash The Beast in 2023, the video going viral was justified.

Prior to the competition, Dener Barbosa was ranked ninth. Barbosa was ready to give it his best since it was the penultimate regular-season event before the PBR World Finals. The Brazilian cowboy faced Blue Duck, the world’s ninth-strongest bull, in the finals. Even though ‘duck’ isn’t exactly a scary moniker, this beast has bucked off 15 riders and has averaged 43.89 for the season. As the metal chute was about to go off, there was a moment of silence in the arena.

When the metal chute dropped, the Blue Duck went completely insane. The Brazilian cowboy, however, was able to withstand the bull’s eight attempts to buck him off, and when the eight-second buzzer went off, Barbosa was declared the victor. The rider, however, opted to remain for an additional period of time in order to demonstrate to the crowd and the judges that he had much more to offer in the upcoming PBR World Finals. The bull continued to try to buck the rider off after the first eight unsuccessful attempts, but eventually, the rider gave up as the bull was still unsuccessful, and walked into the metal chute.

Judge Shawn Ramirez wanted to double-check something, so he ordered a replay before declaring Barbosa the victor. Ramirez wanted to make sure that Barbosa hadn’t made any contact with the chute after the bull was unleashed and attempted to buck him off. After hesitating for a while, Ramirez eventually made a call, and the Barbosa came out on top. The audience went wild when the cowboy finished the season with an eight-second buzzer, earning him a delicious 90.25 points and moving him up to fifth place in the PBR standings.
