“My Heart Just Sunk”: Fans Show Concern as American Bull Riding Star Gets Instantly Knocked Down After Getting Hit on Head

In the sport of bull riding, the rider mounts a raging bull and tries to remain atop the animal as it repeatedly attempts to throw them off. Despite its exciting reputation, bull riding is dangerous since the animals show no pity for fallen riders. One of the most hazardous sports in the world, the passion and fervor, was on full display at Sunday’s Rodeo Houston Championships. However, a shock went through the crowd when pro rodeo cowboy, JB Mauney, was thrown off his mount and knocked unconscious.

Tenn Texas Radio shared the video and the news on Facebook, and it didn’t take long for the cowboy’s devoted followers to flood the comments with their worries. Fans’ worries were warranted; the athletes in this sport face a lot of danger.

How did this mishap happen?

Almost anything may happen at any moment in the arena during a bull riding event, making it a very unpredictable sport. Mauney too saw a dramatic turn of events in the championship game. The stadium was packed for the Sunday night showdown, which also included a performance by singer Luke Bryan.

Inadvertently taking his eyes off the bull, the animal knocked the cowboy off balance, and his head smacked the metal chute. After taking a blow to the head, Mauney became unconscious and fell to the ground. Although he was out of commission, the bull continued to stomp on him repeatedly. Officials quickly subdued the bull, and whisked Mauney away, leaving spectators in disbelief. The clip of this mishap was also posted on Facebook by Tenn Texas Radio.

This fan was present in the arena during the incident, as they describe the situation, saying, “The minute I saw it happen at the rodeo last night my heart just sunk. If you can imagine a stadium full of 75,000 people and at least for 15 minutes you could hear a pin drop.”
