The excitement at the Yeti Bull Week was at an all-time high. This year there were four finalists for the championship title, and the winner could not be decided until the very end. Domino was declared the champion after scoring its highest score in the last two years. But it was not the champion that everyone was talking about after the rodeo. Instead, the fans were excited over PBR’s teaser about what could be expected in the future of the Rodeo.

The Professional Bull Riders held the Yeti Bull Week at Pueblo, Colorado, in July 2023. During the rodeo events, the PBR unveiled the next generation of bucking bulls. These bulls have excited the fans and blown them away with their raw strength and unbridled aggression. They have instilled fear among the spectators while exciting them with what’s to come.

Unveiling the bulls of rodeo

The bull breeders in America have begun to experiment with crossbreeding. The result of this is the meanest bovines in the world. This year the PBR introduced these bulls as part of a special feature to tease the rodeo fans. They showcased three absolute beasts that left the crowd in awe. The rodeo fans are used to the display of power and intensity from their favorite bulls, but these new bulls exceeded all expectations. Even the most experienced bull rider will face a lot of trouble staying fixed on their back for the full eight seconds.

The PBR released a video clip of these bulls on their Instagram account with the caption, “The next generation of PBR bucking bulls. #YETIBullWeek”. The video showed three raging bulls kicking off the ground with unparalleled strength. The first bull was a brown beast that kept twirling mid-air while the kicks continued.

Next, a white bull stunned all with its force and agility. Lastly, a black bull entered the ground with a rider on its back. It threw the rider off and almost kicked him on his back. This video has received a divided response from fans. Some were excited by the showcase, while others worried about the rider’s safety.

There is no doubt that rodeo is one of the most dangerous sports attempted by mankind. One fan pointed out this dark side of rodeo and asked others to stop these games, writing, “That’s not going to get a high score. It’s going to get men killed. Stop trying to make bull fighting more exciting. IT’S ENOUGH as it is”. Another fan pointed out the mismatch in strength between the riders and these animals, stating, “These bulls are gonna be a problem lmao”. The mean nature of the white bull frightened one fan, who said, “the white oneeeee ouch”.

On the other hand, a rodeo fan was excited about the first bull and predicted its success in the sport, saying, “That first one OMG that’s gonna be a powerhouse for sure”. Another fan joked while pointing out the massive size of the bulls, saying, “Who bred springs into these guys?! I think the riders wanna have a word. Holy cow”. Lastly, one viewer praised these bulls for their mean streaks, and said, “They are some nasty and amazing athletes!”

The American Bucking Bull Inc., which keeps records of all bulls in the country, has been observing a growing number of bulls with exceptional abilities. Breeders want to produce the next big thing in rodeo, but they often forget that there is no such thing as a “next-generation of cowboys”. While it is exciting to watch these riders contend against these beasts, we should not forget the dangers of the sport.
