Coming from two different sporting backgrounds, the two hardly get time to interact. However, back in 2018, when the two got a chance to interact, they had a fun time. Though the encounter brings back many pleasant memories for them and their fans, can Joshua say the same?
Phelps gave Joshua a tough time?
By 2018, Joshua had already proven his dominance in the boxing arena. There was no stopping the boxing champ, not until he met the American sensation and the ‘Flying Fish’.
The boxing legend’s winning streak came to a halt when he decided to compete against Phelps, but not in the ring. Competing against the GOAT himself was not an easy task. All in good humor, Joshua lost the match, but the legends had a great time together.
Commemorating the day, Phelps later took to Instagram to share their picture. Reminiscing the day, Phelps wrote, “Got to hop in the water for a swim w my man Anthony Joshua. Had great chats and taught him a few things about the pool!” Phelps further added, pulling?his friend’s leg, “Next time, you get to choose who you want to race… or if we should have a rematch!” The fans will surely be delighted if the legends unite for a rematch.
The bond between Joshua and Michael Phelps travels beyond the sporting arena
The two share a very cordial bond and respect for each other. Back in 2016, Joshua was captured alongside Phelps.
