Phil Heath shared his opinion on why a proper diet plan is important

Once, in an interview with Muscular Development, Heath talked about his meal intake, which was quite different compared to other bodybuilders.

For bodybuilders, protein is very important. Hence, Heath made sure to consume enough pretentious foods in a day. For Heath more than training in the gym, eating proportionate meals was more important back then. But, he also added, “Then I decide what type of protein I’m gonna use. I can’t just eat egg whites all day, or chicken, or steak.”

Most bodybuilders’ diet includes a lot of meat consumption and egg white. But Heath made sure to consume food that his body can digest easily. “The biggest thing with me for bodybuilding is paying attention to your digestion. If you can’t process food a certain way, then how are you going to eat 5 to 5,000 calories? It’s just not going to work,” the legendary bodybuilder explained.
