By defeating King Ronnie Coleman, Jay Cutler secured his place as a bodybuilding elite. But his journey to glory was never easy. Coming from a humble background, Cutler started working at the early age of 11; his childhood was rough. However, working hard, the bodybuilding champion soon turned the wheels of fortune. From being almost broke to buying properties worth billions, the retired legend, in a recent podcast episode, talked about his enduring journey.

Jay Cutler talked about his money struggles and his investments
Life has never been a bed of roses for Cutler. Raised by older siblings, luxury was never an option for him. However, his dreams and determinations were hard to crush. Despite the odds, he kept growing as he started earning frame. Slowly and steadily, he started to earn, and as he recalled, “I flipped a couple or whatever, so I invested in real estate.”
He talks further, about those, “big paychecks it’s a huge stepping place.” With him earning the name, he landed himself good investments. Explaining, he said, “I was flipping it and making a hundred thousand. I was doing that over and over. I mean, like I said, I bought seven and two. I kept up keeping some of his rental properties.” Cutler, was also left with “residual money” which he used wisely. He confessed how the money he earned from the competitions helped him secure his future.
Jay, on overcoming the hardships
In a podcast episode with ‘Straight Outta the Lair with Flex Lewis,’ Jay talked about how he overcame his childhood struggles to fulfill his dreams. When he attended the USA 1993, he was “broke.” However, for him, the opportunity was too big to miss out. To thus, sustain himself, he “was working just miscellaneous just doing like security and whatever else.”

Picking up odd jobs, he tried to fund his meals. Famous for his quad-stomp pose, Cutler secured the Mr. Olympia title for four times. Prior to that, he had been a runner-up for six times. Known for his body aesthetics and indomitable spirit, he broke past his hardships and turned the wheels of fortune. He is not just a famous bodybuilder but is also a successful entrepreneur, who currently owns his own bodybuilding supplement business, Cutler Nutrition.
