Frank Zane’s physique was among the greatest of all time. That was a distinguishing factor that helped him win three Mr. Olympia titles. Everyone in the modern world is aware of how difficult it is to lose abdominal fat. Many people in the United States are suffer from being overweight or obese. Our stomach and abdominal regions include beta cells that make it tough to decrease the fat and lose weight in these places as opposed to parts like our legs, face, and arms.
And studies show that it is particularly challenging to get rid of abdominal fat since that fat is resistant to being broken down. This is common knowledge in the bodybuilding community, and Zane acknowledges this by bringing it up in his post.
In the IG post, in the picture, he mentioned, “Everybody is born with abs,” and he further clarifies it by saying, “Our abdominal muscles start out as one column on each side of the navel running from ribcage down to pelvis. The division line between these two columns is called the linea alba. If we do no exercise involving abdominal muscles our abs remain as columns and if we don’t eat correctly or maintain a high enough activity level, fat accumulates between the muscles and the skin (the subcutaneous fat layer).”
The legend’s intended message was that anybody could get rid of belly fat via exercise and healthy eating.

As the legend was talking about abdominal fat, a follower added, saying, “I would like to ad to this. Abs are so hard to pull into focus. I always made the mistake of doing ab training to little. The more you do it the more you’ll feel it and then realize that slow steady consistent tension on the abs is how to build them. It takes a lot of focus to perform perfect ab exercises. Each rep might actually feel different and then all of a sudden you hone in and connect with each rep.”
