Years after playing one reel role after another to perfection, back in 2019, the Academy award winner came to an important realization.
When the realization hit Bale hard
Christian’s name is almost synonymous with ‘versatility.’ Bale’s chameleonic technique has cemented his name in the list of Hollywood’s elite. Be it losing weight, shaving his head, or putting on some extra pounds, if the role demands, Christian would give in his best.
His iconic body transformations did not just leave the audience amazed but also earned him numerous awards. However, after 20-long years of such endeavors, back in 2019, Bale bid adieu to his ‘extreme bodyweight rollercoaster.’
Speaking with Sunday Times Culture, Bale revealed, “I can’t keep doing it. I really can’t,” He realized that for the sake of his health, his regimes of extreme weight loss and gain have to stop. He said, “My mortality is staring me in the face.”
What made Christian Bale come to that realization?
There is no denying that over the years, Christian has successfully mastered the art of body transformation. In 2019 when he was doing the James Mangold directorial venture “Ford v Ferrari,” he realized his physical constraints.
