Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt is, inarguably, the fastest man in the world. With eight Olympic gold medals, Bolt is a household name across the world for his accomplishments.
In fact, even after his retirement in 2017, Bolt remains a very active part of the sporting community. Recently, he has been in the news owing to a potential sprint-off against NFL star Tyreek Hill and participating in the 2022 UNICEF Soccer Aid celebrity charity match.
However, even a mega-star like Usain Bolt gets star-struck when he meets his heroes. In a recent interview, Bolt shared how Cristiano Ronaldo and Jay-Z are two stars he was crazy about having met.

Usain Bolt reveals being star-struck by Jay-Z and Cristiano Ronaldo
In an interview with Antoine Allen for ITV News, Usain Bolt talked about his participation in Soccer Aid 2022. The Olympic superstar is in London to compete in UNICEF’s biggest celebrity football match for charity.
Bolt shared how he had never dreamt that he would rise to the level of fame he has today. He also shared how he knew he would always play sports, but never knew he would become as successful as he did.

In that vein, when asked about any stars that he never thought he would meet, Bolt chuckled and named Cristiano Ronaldo. Bolt expressed how meeting the Portuguese footballing mega-star felt like an unreal experience.
“I was like, yo, I never knew I would meet him,” Bolt shared as he chuckled and said that there were a lot of such experiences for him. “It is so (many) people,” he said, smiling.

In fact, he also stated Jay-Z as an example of being star-struck. Additionally, he also named Jason Statham in the list of people he never thought he would meet. Bolt said that Statham “is one of (his) favorite actors”.
Thus, when Bolt met the English acting superstar, it was Jason who asked for a picture, and even suggested that the two mimic Usain Bolt’s iconic ‘To Di World’ pose. “I love to watch movies and I love sports,” Bolt expressed.
Bolt will captain the Soccer Aid World XI in June
Usain Bolt made the cut for the Soccer Aid World XI team for the celebrity football charity match in June. The eight-time Olympic gold medalist will compete against the England side, which popular singer Liam Payne will be captaining.
Payne, of One Direction fame, is excited to hit the ground with “some of (his) heroes”. In fact, he also expressed happiness over “raising money for such a great cause”.

This year, the venue for the high-profile match would be the West Ham ground in Stratford. The usual venue for the event is Chelsea’s Stamford Bridge stadium. However, many celebrities threatened to pull out of the event owing to Stamford Bridge’s owner’s ties to Vladimir Putin.
