Audi FIS Ski World Cup’s Instagram account produced a hyped clip of Aleksander and Marco Odermatt. Fans are excited for the Birds of Prey World Cup in a day after two Olympics collide. What did the athletes and the audience think of the clip?

Aleksander Kilde, who has skied in the Beaver a lot of times in the video, said, “I can call it now my second home.” This proves that he may have an advantage in the fight as he is used to the course. While this may be true, his opponent Marco has some history at the course, as he includes in the video “Special memories from 2 years ago.”

To add to this, Marco’s opinion of the place is very positive, and he is ready to give it a go. His quote, “It’s amazing here,” backs it up. Though he may be excited and raring to go, so is Aleksander. In the clip, he makes the bold and strong comment, “It’s never impossible to win a race,” which, when taken in context with his past record, can be taken as a hint of his confidence.

Upon arriving, he exclaimed how Beaver Creek has a great environment and complimented the weather: “Always amazing to ski here, the atmosphere.” He knows that the Birds of Prey World Cup is one of the most iconic events, so he knows that there will be “Good Weather, Good Snow, Good Crowd”.

Marco says at the conclusion of the tape that he has a solid strategy and knows he will win if he behaves well. Marco is one of the best alpine skiers, but his opponent is better. Marco must go further to beat Aleksander’s speed, technical skill, and consistency.
