Athletics as a sport inspires people. More inspiring is the story behind the success of the athlete. Cordell Tinch’s success has a humble story in the background which is not short of amazing.  His journey started last year with selling cell phones in Green Bay, Wisconsin.  He was a talented athlete from the beginning and has proved his talent in multiple sports at the high school level. But, the 2000-born had his share of struggles.

During his modest college career, he traded between Universities to showcase his talent and hone his skills in track and field competitions. In those days he had some bad patches too and unfortunately had to take a brief break. Later on, he returned with a strong will and persistent hard work. The record-smashing performance in Arkansas is evidence of it.

Cordell the fastest hurdler in the world

Cordell’s meteoric comeback began in May where he achieved an impressive wind-assisted time of 12.97 seconds in the 110M hurdles, making him the second-fastest collegian of all time under all conditions.  Building on it, at the Arkansas Grand Prix, he stunned the athletics world by running an astonishing 12.96 seconds in the 110M hurdles, setting a new college all-time best and claiming the title of the fastest time in the world the year.

However, his record-breaking performance manifests promising talent. Now, Cordell Tinch is gearing up for the 2023 Toyota USATF Outdoor Championship, where he will compete in Eugene, Oregon. His journey from selling cell phones to becoming the world’s fastest hurdler serves as a powerful testament to the importance of hard work and self-belief.

Cordell Tinch is a story of  hard work and persistence

Cordell Tinch was talented since his school days. This star rose when he won a multisport high school state championship, excelling in various sports. However, it was in track and field where he truly shone, and he decided to pursue it alongside his football career at the University of Minnesota. As Cordell continued his athletic pursuits, he transferred to the University of Kansas, where he showcased his talent in multiple events. Unfortunately, transfer issues disrupted his journey, leading to a hiatus from both sports and school. Despite this setback, his passion for athletics remained undeterred. On his return, he achieved the collegian record in the glorious May of this year. After that, there was no looking back for him.

The track world eagerly anticipates Cordell’s next record-shattering performance, as he continues to inspire others with his dedication and determination to pursue his passion for athletics.
