The legend interacts with his fans through social media platforms. On the occasion of the 4th of July, Hawk posted a picture which dates back to the 4th of July 1977. In that photo, he is still a kid. He is standing by his bicycle which is decorated with colorful balloons and other items. The rims of the cycle are also decorated with colorful cardboard. A young Hawk is seen smiling while posing for the photo.

In the caption he says “…so if we don’t get some cool rules ourselves, pronto, we’ll just be bogus too.” The post got more than 9000 likes in the seventeen-hour time frame. The legend’s cuteness as a kid and revisiting the old memories have emotionally moved his followers.

The post has led to fascinating comments from social media surfers. One of the first comments by a fan was, “Well at least you started out on a bike …. Explains why your cool now” giving his self-explanation for the legend’s achievements. One commented, “Light-Years Ahead of Your Time” referring to his success. Another person commented, “Jeff Spiccoli has spoken… ” referring to a famous character in the 1982 comedy film Fast Times at Ridgemont High. His hair almost matches that of the character played by Sean Penn in the movie.

In another comment, a fan said, “I can fix it! My dad has this bitchin’ set of tools… I can fix it!!” pointing out that if in case his bicycle got broken then he can fix it. His dad has the required tools. One person put a one-word comment but it was deep in meaning, “Precious“.
