The swimming champion shares in an interview in 2021 how he went from making millions to not having anything at all! He had some really high-profile sponsors like Ralph Lauren and Speedo that dropped him. This led to Lochte losing around $1 million.

Talking about the incident, he says, “I went from making millions to zero. Something could have ended my life because I was stupid.” He also shares how he regrets past mistakes and goes on to say he is a different person now.
