His fans flooded his Youtube channel ‘JayCutlerTV’ with comments praising his humility as the athlete didn’t even consider naming himself, while everyone knows that he deserves one of the spots.

Jay Cutler’s Top 5 picks

The bodybuilder’s first pick is none other than Ronnie Coleman. With eight consecutive Mr Olympia titles, he is one of the first names that comes to mind.

“Someone asked me who are the top five bodybuilders and why — of all time,” says Jay, “Which, listen, I’m going to say [Ronnie] Coleman just because he put the body past whatever we thought.”

For his second pick, he chooses Dorlan Yates. He is a retired English professional bodybuilder. From 1992 to 1997, he won the Mr Olympia title for six consecutive years. “Dorian Yates because he changed the game. He changed what it was all about,” stated Jay.

He continues, “You have to put Lee Haney in there. That’s the third — he set the first record.” Sharing the numero uno spot for the maximum number of Mr Olympia titles with Coleman, this American bodybuilder was considered to be one of the greatest.

Cutler’s nod at The Terminator and The Myth

Every bodybuilder list is incomplete without one name. It’s one of the greatest American success stories of all time about how an Austrian meathead became a Hollywood icon. Despite some incredible peaks (seven times Mr Olympia, $5 billion in movie office revenue, two terms as governor of California), and some abysmally low episodes of depression (steroids, Gropergate, a highly publicized divorce), through it all, the name has always been Arnold.

Jay Cutler knows this too. He says, “For sure Arnold, right? Arnold is in there 100 percent.”

“So we have Lee Haney, Dorian Yates, Ronnie Coleman, Arnold Schwarzenegger — and there’s one more that I would say — as one of the greatest bodybuilders… I would almost have to say, Sergio Oliva. Sergio was way ahead of his time and that’s why,” says Jay.

Sergio Oliva possessed exceptional genetics, astounding dimensions, and a dominating presence. Upon becoming a living legend of the Golden Era, the Cuban-American bodybuilder came to be known as The Myth.
