Kelly Slater has given some of the most exceptional performances in the history of surfing sports. The 50-year-old is considered the greatest of all time by experts and fans. Kelly Slater had spent most of his time in the waves and has pulled some miraculous stunts. However, once the surfing legend did a real-life miracle by saving a mother and her son.

In January 2016, Kelly Slater was surfing at the beach in Hawaii when he noticed a mother and son trapped in the waves.

Sarah White was enjoying the seascape of the beach with her son along a footpath when she was hit by a huge wave. The lady struggled to keep herself above the water level. She eventually gave up but, the surfing legend was just on time.
Kelly Slater grabbed her son and pulled him out of the water. Amid the chaos, Slater kept calm on his nerves and assisted Sarah who went underwater. A slight mistake in the approach would have had a disastrous fate for the three of them. But the conqueror of the waves managed to get them out of the waves.
He further drove Sarah and her family home. He kept track of their recovery and visited to ensure that everything is fine. Sarah and her husband were overwhelmed, seeing the courteous nature of the living legend. Kelly always tried to make Sarah comfortable with his presence. “He’s amazing! He’s just like any other guy, he’s just there to help,” Sarah acknowledged. Sarah’s husband was spellbound by Slater’s gesture. He said, “It just shows how much of a legend he is!”

Sarah was walking along a footpath close to a Rock Piles beach in Hawaii when she was knocked over by a sudden wave. She was holding her 22-month-old son Van, who fell along with her. Sarah was trying her best to keep Van out of the water. However, the strong waves were making things tough for her. “The wave, it was like a tsunami. It was just this big flood of water,” she recalled.

Sarah’s husband, Chris White, said that the waves appeared like 10 feet of whitewash in the air. Chris added that there was a brief moment when no one could see where either of them had gone. People standing along the shore were getting paranoid and started screaming. But, in the end, the 12-time surfing champion came as the messenger of God.
