Recently, Legendary bodybuilder Phil Heath lambasted a TikTok influencer after he came across one of her viral videos. Heath’s statement came as a response to Joey Swoll’s tweet, wherein the fitness influencer called out the girl for making fun of an old man at the gym.

Nowadays, everyone is too active on social media and content-creating platforms like TikTok. Anything and everything on camera is considered content and shared on these platforms. This has given rise to a toxic culture in public places like gyms, transports, etc. There have been situations where people are being reordered without their knowledge and consent. One such video is currently going viral on the internet wherein an old man who was working out in the gym was recorded by a girl. Later, the girl shared the video, mocking the old man.

Phil Heath savages a young TikTok star

On 1st February 2023, Phil Heath came across a tweet by the Ceo of Gym positivity, Joey Swoll. Just like most of Swoll’s video tweets, this one was yet again meant to point out the toxic gym culture. However, unlike other times, not only did it share the message loud and clear, this particular video hit a nerve for the 7x Mr. Olympia, Phil Heath. Not long after the video was shared, Heath commented, “She’s trash for this period.”

Heath’s extreme reaction makes one wonder what was in the video. In the original video shared by the TikTok influencer, she was seen recording herself while working out in the gym. While this is the new normal for most young gym goers, what was offensive was how she edited the video and shared it online.

When the girl, who goes by the username “gwinie_the_pooh” on the twitch streaming platform, was recording herself, an old man quietly working out in the background was caught on camera too. While sharing the video, instead of focusing on herself, she zoomed in on the old man who was trying to kick the punching bag. Netizens deemed her actions disrespectful and asked her to leave the old man alone. When Swoll came across the viral video, it’s safe to say, he was enraged, and rightly so.

On Wednesday, Joey Swoll once again trashed a social media user for not minding her business at the gym. Taking to Twitter, Swoll shared a video addressing the abovementioned viral video. Along with his video, he wrote, “Making fun of an old man working out for likes and attention? Really? #MYOB”

In the video, Swoll furiously questioned if making fun of how an elderly man works out is something to be proud of. He added that not only should the girl be ashamed of herself, but she should also apologize to the man, publicly. If she fails to do so, she deserves nothing less than being kicked out of her gym.

As an aftermath of Swoll’s public call-out along with the netizens, the TikTok user not only deleted the video, she deleted her account too. However, an apology is nowhere to be seen, yet.
