The athlete primarily competes in the 400 meters race, but ahead of his appearance in Tokyo, he shifted his focus to the 100 meters race. Notably, clocking a time of 9.84 seconds, the athlete proved his decision to change his field was indeed a good one. Apart from this, the star sprinter is one of the three men to go sub 10 seconds in 100m, sub 20 seconds in 200m, and sub 44 seconds in 400m.

Fred Kerley talks about his preparation for clocking under 10
Fred Kerley turned into a professional sprinter in June 2017. Ever since then, the legend hasn’t stopped working hard and has always put his best foot forward.
Recently, in an interaction with fans on his Instagram story, the athlete revealed how long he trained to run under 10 seconds. During an ?ask me a question’ session, a fan asked Fred, ?How many years you trained to run under 10 seconds and since when you have been training??
In a response that surprised everyone, Fred said, “0.”
Despite turning towards the 100 meters race only this year, the athlete clocked a phenomenal time and bagged the Olympic accolade. While the ultimate prize might’ve come unexpectedly, it was surely deserving.
Towards greatness for Kerley
Having finished second in the competition this year, Fred now aims for gold. A couple of months ago, the athlete posted a picture of him practicing, with a caption that speaks volumes of his character, and his hunger for more.
