Shannon was stunned to see his alma mater Savannah State University ranked as one of the top party schools in the USA by a popular magazine. He reacted with a tweet that simply said “😳😳😳”.

Sharpe attended Savannah State University from 1986 to 1989, where he played college football as a wide receiver. He was a three-time All-Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference selection and set several school records for receptions, receiving yards, and touchdowns. He also played basketball for one season and was a member of the Omega Psi Phi fraternity.

However, Sharpe did not have much time or opportunity to party during his college days, as he had to balance his academics, athletics, and personal life. He grew up in poverty in rural Georgia and had to work various jobs to support himself and his family.

Sharpe’s hard work and dedication paid off, as he was drafted by the Denver Broncos in the seventh round of the 1990 NFL Draft. He went on to have a stellar 14-year career in the NFL, playing for the Broncos and the Baltimore Ravens. He won three Super Bowls, made eight Pro Bowls, and was named a first-team All-Pro four times. He retired as the NFL’s all-time leader in receptions, receiving yards, and touchdowns by a tight end until Tony Gonzalez surpassed him. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2011.

Sharpe’s tweet elicited many responses from his fans and followers, who were amused by his reaction. Some of them joked that he missed out on all the fun during his college years, while others invited him to join them for a party at Savannah State University. Some of them also congratulated him for being a successful alumnus of Savannah State University and thanked him for representing the school well.
