However, fans on the internet swiftly rebuked these critics after viewing the video, applauding the athlete for his enthusiastic engagement in his newfound passion.

Nikola Jokic had a passion for the equestrian since his childhood days. He had a strong connection with horses and even thought of pursuing a career in horse riding before moving to basketball. A clip was shared on Instagram by CBS Sports with the caption “There’s levels for Jokic “. In the clip, a comparison of his two celebrations of winning is shown. In one, he was seen celebrating winning the title with his NBA team Denver Nuggets this year and the other was after winning a horse race in his hometown. In the former, he doesn’t look so static, drinking a can but in the latter, he is dancing with the trophy.

Jokic’s horse race celebration is from his hometown Sombor, Serbia, which he visited after winning the NBA title. He arrived there as his horse was taking part in a race. Previously, he openly confessed that his true passion lay in horses, leading him to work as a stable boy in stables. The grace and allure of horses captivated his heart. His initial interest in basketball was driven by the influence of his two elder brothers who were involved in the sport. Jokic now possesses around half a dozen or more horses, including a racehorse named Dream Catcher. When he celebrated his horse race victory, fans were left awestruck and responded by vehemently criticizing those who had earlier criticized the NBA star. They flooded the comments section with praise and admiration for his passion.
