Atletico Madrid defender and AC Milan target Diego Godin has snubbed the Rossoneri’s interest, while taking a dig at the declining club in the process.
Second only to Real Madrid in terms of European cups (7), AC Milan is facing the dusk of club success in recent times as they won their last League trophy in the 2010-11 season and the UEFA Champions League in 2006-07.
Along with the Siniša Mihajlović managed side, EPL side Manchester City are also reported to be keeping tabs on Godin.

“It [a Rossoneri switch] would be a step back. I feel good at Atletico Madrid and I still have a lot of ambition; but it would be completely different if it were a club with more ambition.”
The Italian outfit underwent an abysmal 2014-15 season, finishing 10th in Serie A and are out of all European competitions for the year to come.
