Urijah Faber Suffers Gruesome Injury Against Petr Yan at UFC 245

Petr Yan took on Urijah Faber to start the main card of UFC 245. Well, with this performance Petr Yan has put the bantamweight division on notice. Yan knocked out Faber in the final round after punishing him in the second round.

Both fighters took a cautious approach in the first round. But Yan was landing some huge shots on Urijah. He was putting the pressure on Faber and controlling the octagon. Faber was trying to get Yan in the clinch but Yan was landing strikes every time they break out of the clinch.

However, the complexion of the fight changed completely in the second round when Yan dropped Urijah with a powerful right. However, Faber proved his mettle again and survived the flurry from the Russian. Yan again hurt Urijah while he was breaking out of the clinch and this time it was a bad one. Yan threw an elbow that caught Urijah right below his left eye and it swelled up pretty quickly. The referee interfered and called out the ringside doctor to check the cut suffered by Faber.

Though the officials allowed the fight to continue the fight did not go for long as with in the first minute of round 3, Petr Yan scored another knocked down against Urijah Faber. The referee had seen enough as he stopped the fight at 43 seconds into the final round.

Though Faber lost the fight he did display his toughness yet again inside the UFC octagon. On the other hand, Petr Yan continues his path of destruction in UFC securing his 6th win in the organization.
