WWE and UFC, two of the top sports entertainment companies, go hand in hand. Some names have plied their trade in both organizations and a select few have even claimed gold in both the UFC octagon and the WWE ring. Brock Lesnar is one such athlete.

MMA Journalist Ariel Helwani, who now works with BT Sport among many outlets, covers the WWE as well. The record-time award-winning MMA reporter had a hot take about Brock Lesnar and ‘The Tribal Chief’ Roman Reigns.

Helwani wrote, “Roman x Brock again?! Cmon. How many times can we see this? Enough already. Zero interest in that whatsoever.”

WWE announced that their two biggest draws will headline this year’s SummerSlam at the Nissan Stadium (home of the Tennessee Titans). This came after Brock Lesnar returned to SmackDown programming after a 75-day hiatus.

While Roman Reigns successfully defended his WWE and Universal World titles against ex-UFC athlete Riddle, he had a surprise in store. Lesnar’s shocking return to SmackDown had the WWE Universe up on their feet.

After Lesnar delivered an F5 to ‘The Head of the Table’, the company announced ‘The Beast Incarnate’ would fight Reigns in a Last Man Standing bout.

Even though this created buzz around fans, Helwani showed his disinterest in the contest.

Nick Diaz is an outspoken personality, to say the least. The Stockton’s own once had to do an interview with Ariel Helwani, which he didn’t appreciate.

The then-Strikeforce welterweight champion started the interview with, “I wasn’t gonna do this interview, but they told me I had to so…”

Helwani asked Nick Diaz if he had any issues with him; Diaz replied, “I feel like you instigate fights quite a bit but you know… maybe that’s your job but where I come from, you know people like that gets slapped.”

Diaz later told the MMA reporter that ‘it is not personal’.
