UFC heavyweight Justin Tafa became the first heavyweight in the storied history of the UFC to miss weight on the scale. Tafa stepped in at 267-pounds for his three-round bout against Harry Hunsucker on the preliminary card for UFC Vegas 45.

He missed the limit by one pound for a non-title bout and narrowly beat out Greg Hardy, who almost weighed in over the limit last year.

Justin Tafa wasn’t the only miss on the scale. Apart from the heavyweight, Sijara Eubanks and Macy Chiasson ended up coming in heavy as well. ‘SarJ’ weighed in at 127.5 pounds while Chiasson stepped in at 148.5 pounds. While this is Chiasson’s first slip-up on the scale, Sijara Eubanks has missed weight before.

She missed out on her title fight against Nicco Montano for the inaugural flyweight title following a season of ‘The Ultimate Fighter’. Not to mention, her fight against veteran fighter Roxanne Modafferi, also saw her miss weight.
So to recap, the three fighters who have so far missed weight for #UFCVegas45 are. They'll get another hour to cut the additional weight, but no sure thing they make it:

Hence, it’s safe to say that ‘SarJ’ needs to reassess her natural weight division moving forward in the UFC.
UFC Vegas 45: Fights to look out for
The main event is the obvious curtain jerker for this fight card with arguably one of the most explosive bouts of the year. Derrick Lewis will want to end 2021 on a high and become the sole knockout king of the UFC. As it stands, he is tied with Matt Brown at 12 knockouts in the company’s history.

As for Daukaus, he’s on a clean run in his career and has secured some notable highlights in his short UFC tenure. He has a chance to make a huge leap in the rankings if he can dispatch former title challenger Derrick Lewis. However, Lewis holds unparalleled power in the UFC’s heavyweight division, and getting the better of him will be harder than it initially seems.

Cub Swanson vs Darren Elkins to start off the main card is another feature with seriously exciting potential. Fans have labeled this fight as a potential ‘Fight of the Night’ candidate, as both men are known to let their hands go.
