The UFC bantamweight champion, Aljamain Sterling, took to social media to respond to Rob Font’s post-fight statements after his win. Font picked up the biggest win of his career with a unanimous decision victory over the former divisional champion, Cody Garbrandt. Rob Font won all the rounds on two of the judges’ scorecards and increased his streak to 4-0
Cody ‘No Love’ had his moments throughout the fight. However, it just wasn’t enough to get one over Font, who relied on an excellent jab to keep him at bay. With the win, Rob Font will retain his number three ranking and will look towards sliding in for a spot in the title picture.

Rob Font vs Aljamain Sterling: How does it play out?
When the New England Cartel standout spoke to the media following his main event win, he was asked to preview his future. When asked to break down bouts against Aljamain Sterling and Petr Yan, it appeared as though the Sterling fight intrigued him. Font explained that ‘Funkmaster’ could pose a more interesting match-up.
Font said, “I think Aljamain might be a tougher puzzle to solve. Petr Yan, similar to Cody, you know stay long, long jab and let him run into something big. Aljamain is a little trickier because of the wrestling, his length. I think Aljamain same thing, it will be boxing him up, stop a couple takedowns, and just straight box him up. Same thing for Petr Yan, it will just be not get hit with but shots and just boxing him up as well.”

Sterling took to social media and responded to Font’s aforementioned statements by simply choosing to co-sign it. Additionally, the undisputed bantamweight champion sent out positive wishes to both men who competed.
Smart man! After talking with his team/Tyson, you can see they do their homework. The hardest part is that he stayed disciplined for just about the entire fight. It’s hard to teach that! Great performance again, and head up to Garbrandt. This division is just stacked now. https://t.co/owG2nOwwad
