As the relentless war between the UFC and its fighters regarding the athletes’ pay wages on, the fighters’ side has found a whole new yet old topic of the UFC’s ill-treatment. The former UFC matchmaker, Joe Silva.
Apparently, Silva was as ruthless as they came. Thus, as fighters stood in solidarity with Jorge Masvidal and Jon Jones, the topic of the former matchmaker eventually came up.
Consequently, a whole new hashtag for sharing stories of Joe Silva’s “unjustness” surfaced.

Joe Silva stories- UFC stars reveal
Twitter soon came alive with stories about the “hobbit dirtbag”. While half of the fans stood in support of the stories, the other half thought that the issue is now being bloated up.
Here are some of the stories that UFC veterans shared about their experiences with Joe Silva.
There are many. One time, as I was at the curtain about to make the walk, he reminded me why he signed me and why he hadn’t cut me yet. In other words, perform how I expect or you’re gone. One hell of a pep talk when you’re already under immense pressure. *fixed for spelling* 😄

We had just renegotiated a new contract and Joe was pissed I was getting a pay bump. I only had one loss to GSP at the time. Joe said fine, you’ll get this number but as soon as you lose we are going to cut you and sign you back for half as much #JoeSilvaStories

Gray Maynard talks about “the speech”
Joe Silva would often make that speech for him.
Literally, don’t fight to win. Don’t treat it as a sport.
Sacrifice your entire future so the company can have some highlight footage, while they toss you 5 to 10 grand.
It was always clear they didn’t care about fighters.

🤦♂️I used to hear that speech. Then I gave him a “fight of the year”,only got a normal bonus and a pat on the back.Joe Silva called a couple days later and made sure I got the lowest pay he could give me for my next title fight 42k/42k. No PPV point/nothing. Definitely no residuals https://t.co/ep9EHXcalg
