Wayne Rooney was present for the match between Tyson Fury and Derek Chisora in London. Fury remains unbeaten for 34 matches. The unbeaten display from the British boxer has impressed Rooney, and he believes Fury should be knighted for the achievement.

Tyson Fury is a two-time WBC winner and holds the title since 2020. He successfully defended his WBC title against Derek Chisora yesterday in London in the presence of many celebs.

Wayne Rooney was at ringside for the game

Wayne Rooney was amongst many celebs present for the game between the boxers in London at Tottenham Hotspur stadium. The British boxer Tyson Fury left a long-lasting impression on the soccer star and now the DC United manager with his display. Rooney went on to say that they should knight the boxer for his achievements.

Rooney said, “He’s the best we’ve seen for a long time. I don’t think anyone will beat him. I think he’s an absolute legend, what he’s done for boxing. He’s entertaining, his skills are incredible, his mentality is incredible and if I’m being honest I probably think he should be knighted!”

It is not the first time that Rooney is full of praise for the boxer. Recently, Fury posted a clip of him and Sylvester Stallone on Instagram where Stallone said Fury is the greatest heavyweight boxer. The post drew reactions from many celebs and Rooney replied with raised hands and applause emojis.

Tyson Fury beats Derek Chisora to retain his title

The Gypsy king came into the fight against Derek Chisora with an unbeaten streak of 33 fights. The boxers were fighting for a third time, with Fury emerging victorious on previous both occasions. In front of 60,000 fans, the game took place at Spurs stadium.

Fury was dominating the game throughout and the referee stopped it in the 10th round. With this win, Tyson Fury now has a record of 34 (33 wins, 1 draw) games unbeaten. Out of the 33 wins, 24 have come from the knockouts. The win keeps Fury the WBC champion.

Tyson Fury sent a warning to his opponents next year with a victory over Chisora. One of those Oleksandr Usyk was at the ringside and there was a face-off between the two after the game. Usyk holds his WBA, WBO, and IBF championships and Fury wants to win them.
