Josh Emmett faced Shane Burgos in a monumental co-main event at UFC on ESPN 11. The fighters took each other to limit in a closely fought contest that ended up having to go to a decision. Here, the 9th ranked Emmett tweaked his knee in the fight and continued to battle before eventually overcoming ‘Hurricane’ via a 3rd round decision. As a result, he extended his UFC win streak to 3. Whilst fans were delighted by the fight, fellow UFC fighters too were in awe of the 15-minute war.

Meanwhile, Welterweight Champion Kamaru Usman branded it a “fire fight” in the second round. In the 3rd round, as neither fighter was getting blown away and continued to rise he tweeted, “Ooohhhhh sheeeeeesh these men are zombies.

The Nigerian Nightmare’s UFC 251 opponent and top-ranked Welterweight contender, Gilbert Burns, too, expressed his admiration on Twitter throughout the 15-minute contest. Also, in one of his tweets, he added to the comments on “amazing” and urged UFC President Dana White to pay them the Fight of the Night bonus.

Meanwhile, fellow UFC Featherweight fighter Aljamain Sterling found entertainment in the “constant action.” He wrote, “This fight is crazy!!! Burgos and Emmett!! No quit and constant action! Insanely good!!”

After the fight, he added that neither fight lost. “No loser in that fight, fight fans!”

Also, the top-ranked female pound for pound fighter who had her eyes on the fight labeled it “awesome.” Then she offered congratulations to both Emmett and Burgos.

UFC 2nd ranked Heavyweight contender Francis Ngannou was waiting for the main event fight between Curtis Blaydes and Alexander Volkov. However, he too was blown away by the quality of the Featherweight clash and labeled it insane.

Furthermore, ‘The Predator’ branded it the fight of the night with special praise for Emmett.
