55-year-old Joe Rogan was baffled as Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers candidly told a story about one of his teachers. The JRE host has one of the biggest platforms in the world with avid listeners. A-Rod featured, as a guest, in one latest edition of the Spotify podcast with Rogan, where he talked about questionable actions from a teacher that motivated him for his NFL journey.

The quarterback said, “I wrote a paper, and she [Rodgers’s teacher] said I cited it incorrectly… 15 of the kids didn’t cite it exactly how she said. 14 of them got to rewrite the paper, not me.”

Thus, A-Rod went to see the teacher and wanted a chance to re-write the paper like other students. However, his teacher was ‘ready’ with a response. Rodgers said, “And she ripped me apart, ‘you’re an entitled athlete. You expect things to be given to you, what you gonna do with your life?'”

Rodger responded to the teacher and said, “‘I’d play in the NFL.'”

“‘No way in hell, you wouldn’t make it,” the NFL athlete’s teacher fired back at him. “You’ll get hurt; You’ll never make it.”

“Whoa,” said Rogan, who was in disbelief.

Rodgers continued what his teacher told him, “‘You will need your education, and you will never make it. And what I have seen from you is – you wouldn’t amount to anything.'”

Joe Rogan was visibly upset with what he heard in the Aaron Rodgers story

The standup artist could not believe what he was hearing. Rogan said, “What a terrible thing to say to a kid.”

Though Rodgers suggested he took the entire scene as a positive and gave ‘props’ to the teacher, Rogan did not share the same thoughts.

Rogan expressed, “What a irresponsible way to communicate with someone who’s young and has their whole life ahead of them.”

“But then again, that’s part of the problem is that people who don’t have their whole life ahead of them anymore. And then they see people coming up and they get upset. They are upset by people that they deemed to be privileged, that they deemed to have a better life than they had,” offered the former Fear Factor host.

Further, Rodgers detailed how the teacher had a ‘vendetta’ against him as she almost got him expelled at the end of the semester.
