When it comes to combat sports, nothing could beat the engagement of fighters and fans it brings to the line. Pitched battles, high stakes in the ring, these are a mere tip of the iceberg for there is more to any fight contest. But what transpired at UFC 248 is pretty much unimaginable in the context of sport as a no barrier to between the fan and the fighter as Brian Ortega, who competes in UFC’s featherweight division allegedly got into a fight with fellow featherweight Chan Sung Jung’s translator and Korean musician, Jay Park.

It was later confirmed according to different reports that Ortega slapped Jay Park over the trash talk “Korean Zombie” had been a part of and was pulled out of the event by security. The whole scuffle ensued when Jung was in the restroom. It was only later when Ortega started to pick a fight with Zombie then he was escorted out.
Dana White after the conclusion of UFC 248 revealed that the pair had gotten into a fight in the seating area reserve for fighters and celebrity guests.

Zombie doesn’t even speak English so I don’t know what the hell he could have said to get Ortega to start going crazy but yeah,” the UFC president was quoted as saying by Fox Sports.

It was in the fighters section and it happened right during the fight,” he added.

Not surprisingly, the Korean Zombie has issued a scathing warning to Brian Ortega saying if they ever meet inside the octagon he will surely knock his face out. Earlier, these two were slated to headline the main event in the UFC Fight Night 165 but as fate would have it Ortega pulled out of the fight with an undisclosed injury.
In a further development, as reported by MMA Junkie, it was revealed by Jung’s manager Iridium Sports Agency’s Jason House, that a police report has been filed following the incident and the matter now depends on law officials as to how they see this alleged fight.

This incident though got overpowered by the co-main event, where a combined effort by Weili Zhang and Joanna Jedrzejcyzk marked an eventful night for combat sports fans.
