Jon Jones has been engaging in Twitter battles with a whole host of fighters. He has issued challenges to Francis Ngannou and Jan Blachowicz. In addition to this, he has dismissed Anthony Smith and Dominick Reyes. Now we can add UFC legend Chael Sonnen to the list. 

The top-ranked pound-for-pound fighter wrote, “Who is this? Has been with now man b**bs making money off YouTube getting hit talking about Jon Jones?”

Sonnen spotted the post and went on a lengthy Twitter rant against the man who beat him at UFC 159.

First Sonnen took a shot at Bones’, saying he was fueled by tequila. Later, he trolled the UFC Light Heavyweight Champion for his repeated brushes with the law. 

He then compared ‘Bones’ to American daredevil Evel Knievel and said the UFC fighter had more wrecks than the man who attempted 75 ramp-to-ramp motorcycle jumps. 

‘Bones’ gun history came to the fore as Sonnen said he has more gunshots than Seal Team 6.

Later, he reverted to attacks on how the Jones’ brushes with the law have changed him as a person. He speaks about the effect of regular handcuffs on ‘Bones’ wrists. Furthermore, he also highlights the jail cell convention of handing over one’s belts and shoelaces. 

Next, the former MMA fighter finished with mocking the Light Heavyweight Champion regarding whom he gets more photo requests. Besides this, he talks about the mug shot photography ‘Bones’ is extremely familiar with. 

Earlier in March, the fighter was arrested on a DWI charge. This too wasn’t far from Sonnen’s attention. 

Sonnen even shared his take on ‘Bones’ diet and exercise routine.
