Jessica Eye became one of three fighters who failed to make weight for the upcoming UFC on ESPN 10. The former Flyweight contender will take on Cynthia Calvillo in an originally Flyweight, but now Catchweight bout.

Unfortunately, this is not the first time that “Evil” is missing weight. In fact, in her last bout too, she weighed in above the limit as she emerged victorious over Viviane Araujo. She forfeited 30% of her fight purse for the same.

Joanne Calderwood takes to Twitter

Now, as Eye missed weight again, even though by a meager 0.25 pounds, she is facing the outrage of disappointed fans. However, the outrage that stood out came at the hands of fellow Flyweight, Joanne Calderwood. The two engaged in an ugly brawl on Twitter as Joanna took a jab at Eye for missing weight again.

The banter started as Joanne accused Eye of using the age-old towel trick, wherein a fighter tries to take hold of the towel that covers them from cameras while weigh-ins in order to reduce weight.

Eye responded saying that she was proud of the fact that she only missed weight by 0.25 pounds. Another theory revolving around the matter is that she was wearing her mask during the weigh-ins, removing which could have made a difference.

Carrying on with the altercation, Jessica wrote that Joanne was just trying to instigate people.

Joanne replied stating that all she wanted was for the athletic commissions to finally start adhering to rules.

However, the beef did not end there. Jessica, apparently enraged by Joanne’s “sweet act”, called her out for the same.

In the final message between the two, Joanne apologized for possibly hurting Jessica Eye.
