Jessica Eye became one of three fighters who failed to make weight for the upcoming UFC on ESPN 10. The former Flyweight contender will take on Cynthia Calvillo in an originally Flyweight, but now Catchweight bout.
Unfortunately, this is not the first time that “Evil” is missing weight. In fact, in her last bout too, she weighed in above the limit as she emerged victorious over Viviane Araujo. She forfeited 30% of her fight purse for the same.

Joanne Calderwood takes to Twitter
Now, as Eye missed weight again, even though by a meager 0.25 pounds, she is facing the outrage of disappointed fans. However, the outrage that stood out came at the hands of fellow Flyweight, Joanne Calderwood. The two engaged in an ugly brawl on Twitter as Joanna took a jab at Eye for missing weight again.

The banter started as Joanne accused Eye of using the age-old towel trick, wherein a fighter tries to take hold of the towel that covers them from cameras while weigh-ins in order to reduce weight.
Was it really .25 because I’ve heard from multiple people that you were 4lbs over 15 mins before you actually weighed in. Main event spot or not if you know your not gonna make it don’t take the fight. #banthetoweltrick pic.twitter.com/nTLwWdbnlF

Eye responded saying that she was proud of the fact that she only missed weight by 0.25 pounds. Another theory revolving around the matter is that she was wearing her mask during the weigh-ins, removing which could have made a difference.
Exactly also a 115 coming up who has also miss weight in class on a much higher level . See you just want to be a hater and rude. .25 of pound I am extremely proud https://t.co/IePDNxRzHd

Joanne replied stating that all she wanted was for the athletic commissions to finally start adhering to rules.
I was ready to make weight at the start of this week..I’m staying ready but not earning right now so this was tough for me to see..but also I just want better for the sport and I don’t like that they are still not making us put our hands above the hoop. Good luck for tomorrow!

JoJo “pretending to be sweet”?
However, the beef did not end there. Jessica, apparently enraged by Joanne’s “sweet act”, called her out for the same.
@DRkneevil your comical Jo jo, you play this sweet, incident person. You are as fake as the act you put on. Make sure to don’t play nice when see me at the @UFCPI. if you don’t want to take a fight in the octagon because you scare let set up gym fight your gym right by my house

Still not buying Joanne’s “sweet act”, Jessica posted:

Do you agree with Joanne? Are the UFC and Athletic Commissions taking weight cuts too lightly?
