In a recent tweet, Yoel Romero trolled the middleweight champion, Israel Adesanya for not engaging in their fight at UFC 248.
Yoel Romero faced off against Israel Adesanya at UFC 248. At 42 years old, Romero was supposed to be Adesanya’s toughest matchup yet. The “Soldier of God” is an Olympic silver medalist in freestyle wrestling. Along with the wrestling, he is also known for his ability to turn his opponents’ lights off.
Romero has impressive victories over some of the best athletes in the middleweight division, including Luke Rockhold and Chris Weidman.

On the other hand, Israel Adesanya is an elite striker with a long history in kickboxing. He captured the UFC gold within 2 years of his debut. “The last Stylebender” has some of the best knockouts in his career.
Adesanya stopped then middleweight champion, Robert Whittaker within two rounds.

When you put two of the best athletes in the division against each other, you can expect a war, right? Well, that was not how the fight went down.
Both men spent the majority of the fight contemplating their opponent’s next move. As a result, there was a lack of action in the fight.
Although some people enjoyed the chess match, the majority of the fan base did not.
During the fight, Romero tagged Adesanya with a heavy shot. From that point onwards, Adesanya evaded Romero’s power throughout the fight. However, he picked apart Romero from the outside with his leg kicks and won by a decision.
“I did what I had to do,” Adesanya said during the post-fight interview.

On the other hand, Yoel Romero believes that Adesanya ran from him throughout the fight. The Cuban took to Twitter to troll the champion. He shared a screenshot from a Wikipedia page titled “Fear.”
The page contains a picture of Adesanya backing away from Romero. However, the funniest part was the caption.
