Khabib Nurmagomedov embodies focus when he is preparing for his fights. However, once he gets his hands raised, even Khabib has his cheat days when he can eat whatever he wants. Following the win over Justin Gaethje at UFC 254, ‘The Eagle’ is now ‘unstoppable’ around good food.
In the aftermath of UFC 254, Khabib Nurmagomedov is celebrating his 29th professional victory in that many outings. The UFC lightweight champ has always been a fan of eating burgers following his major victories. Last year, after he defeated Dustin Poirier at UFC 242, he told Megan Olivi that he would love to have some burger with steaks.
It seems Khabib has continued the tradition this year as well. His head coach, Javier Mendez, posted a video on Instagram. The now-retired Khabib can be seen asking for a cheeseburger and steak burger.

Khabib announced his retirement from the sport after submitting Justin Gaethje in the second round of the UFC 254 headliner. Coming off the back of his father’s death from earlier this year, ‘The Eagle’ cemented his legacy as arguably the most dominant fighter to step inside the Octagon.
Is Khabib Nurmagomedov the Greatest of All Time?
Right after Khabib shocked the world by announcing his retirement, there was a flurry of responses from all over the globe. Many fans hailed him as the best fighter to ever step foot inside the Octagon. However, the list of those who believed in his claim for the GOAT title wasn’t limited to simply his fans.
UFC commentator Joe Rogan didn’t mince his words when he took to Instagram to appreciate the 155-pounds champ. Khabib’s close friend and former UFC double champ, Daniel Cormier, also saw him worthy enough of the honor.
However, there were others, such as Jon Jones, who felt that Khabib hadn’t done enough to get the No. 1 pound-for-pound spot.

Khabib’s reign as a champ wasn’t particularly long, such as those of Anderson Silva, Georges St-Pierre, Jon Jones, and Demetrious Johnson. Nor did he win belts in multiple weight classes such as Amanda Nunes, Conor McGregor, GSP, or Cormier. Therefore, his spot on the GOAT list will always be up for debate and discussion.

One can’t argue with the fact that Khabib is the most dominating fighter to ever play the sport. Never had we seen one fighter steamroll his way through one of the toughest divisions of the UFC.
To cap it off, Khabib has shown signs of improvements in his last three fights. This is a proof of how well-rounded of a fighter he is.
