UFC bantamweight champion Petr Yan fired back at former two-division champion Henry Cejudo in his latest tweet.
At UFC 251, Yan put up an amazing performance. The Russian destroyed featherweight legend Jose Aldo to claim the vacant bantamweight strap. Although Aldo started strong, Yan picked up the pace in the later rounds. The power of Yan became evident in the fourth and fifth rounds.

Yan showed “No Mercy” to the Brazilian as he made the legend bathe in his own blood. Unfortunately for Aldo, the referee did not stop the fight in time. As a result, the 33-year-old took a lot of unnecessary punishment.

Soon after the match, Yan received a ton of praise from the MMA community, including Henry Cejudo. However, Henry’s congratulatory tweet ended with a few insults. “Triple C,” said that Yan would not last over 2 rounds with him.
Congrats precious @PetrYanUFC 💋 but you absolutely suck! You’d be lucky to make it past two rounds with triple c! You ugly potato 🥔 #rentachamp

Petr Yan blasts Henry Cejudo
Before Yan, Cejudo was the bantamweight champion. He defeated Dominick Cruz at UFC 249 to retain the gold and abruptly retired on the same day. Since then, Yan and Cejudo have constantly engaged in a war of words on social media.
It took a while for Yan to respond to Cejudo. But he absolutely nailed it. The 27-year-old fighter trashed Cejudo for retiring and choosing the “easier option.”
You had opportunity to fight me cringe, but you choose easier option and runaway after. Now you are barking from the safe distance clown. Come back and I will retire you again. https://t.co/kG7htv2FRi

Yan is visibly disinterested in fighting Cejudo. One of his previous comments hinted that beating Cejudo was never his goal. In fact, it was all about the belt. Yan even said that Henry would have cleared out the bantamweight division if he was confident in his abilities. Click here to read the full story.
For now, Yan has a lot of hurdles to conquer in front of him. His division is one of the most stacked weight classes in the UFC. Aljamain Sterling seems to be the next fight for Yan. And even Yan agrees with it.
