Although “The Chosen One” himself stated after the fight that he had no excuses and that he was completely in the fight mentally; unlike the fight with Usman; fans believe that Woodley was not in his best shape.
The fight kept the entire world on its toes as fans watched the fight on their television sets. As the fight progressed, Social Media overflowed with comments regarding the fight. Here are the Tweets that provide a look of just how entertaining the fight was.
I’ve gotten to know Tyron Woodley a little at FS1, where he has joined us on Undisputed. Was rooting for him to turn back to the clock tonight at 38. Nope. His greatness remains in the past. Got dominated start to finish by title contender Gilbert Burns. A little hard to watch.

holy shit Tyron Woodley really got me failing in and out of love with him 😳

This is incredible. Gilbert Burns’s right hand is more dangerous than Tyron Woodley’s. Burns’s speed is more dangerous than Woodley’s. Burns looks like the bigger man in the cage, not Woodley. Who would have guessed any of that five months ago?

@TWooodley NIGGA RETIRE! 😤 #UFCFightNight

Of course, many such comments about Woodley’s retirement surfaced today. However, Woodley chose to respond to this particular Tweet.
Really from a black man. With all this hatred going on. From another black man? #Sad https://t.co/nE72BycBDD
