2nd ranked Welterweight fighter Colby Covington has been out of action ever since a final round stoppage loss to Kamaru Usman. He suffered an injured jaw on the night at UFC 245 and has been out of action ever since. The fighter claimed that he threw in his name into the hat to replace Gilbert Burns at UFC 251. Unfortunately for him, the company seemed fixed on Jorge Masvidal and did not approach him.
The UFC did offer ‘Chaos’ another fight. However, as of now, it will not go ahead as Covington’s opponent has pulled out. The Welterweight “heel” updated his followers on Instagram. As per the image on his feed, he got offered a fight against former divisional champion Tyron Woodley. ‘Chaos’ shared the contract featuring both his and ‘The Chosen One’s names and trashed the former champion for avoiding him.

He wrote, “This was supposed to be your main event August 22nd on ESPN until Tyrone did what his daddy should’ve and pulled out… AGAIN!”
This keeps in line with Çhaos’ claims that Woodley avoided him whilst he held the Interim belt. Furthermore, he branded the former champion as washed up.

Tyron Woodley has suffered consecutive defeats for the first time in his 25 fight and 11-year professional career. First, he fell to Kamaru Usman at UFC 235. Following the defeat, he took a year off and returned to take on Gilbert Burns at UFC on ESPN: Woodley vs Burns.
At the event, ‘Durinho’ dominated him to propel to the top spot of the rankings. The result contrasted with ‘The Chosen One’s fortunes. He slid down to the 4th spot behind Covington and BMF Champion Jorge Masvidal. Now he sits on 5th and will be desperate to arrest his alarming slide.
