Tony Ferguson sent a strongly worded message to the champion Khabib Nurmagomedov on social media earlier today. Both fighters, set to face each other on the 18th of April, are on a 12-win streak. Since they have much at stake, the fight is considered as among the biggest UFC events in history.

“April 18 is getting close Khabib and you’re hiding in Russia. Travel bans will not prevent me from whooping that a**. Don’t use it as an excuse to back out. You have been sent many locations, send us 1. Still my b****” said Tony on twitter.

Regardless of the ungainly Twitter exchanges, both fighters have a mutual respect for each other and what they have achieved in the sport. Khabib is undefeated and holds an outstanding record of (28-0). No fighter has dominated like ‘The Eagle’, with his wrestling and vicious ground and pound putting away opponents with ease.

‘El Cucuy’ on the other hand, equally dangerous. His superior stand-up game and trademark submissions have made him one of the most feared fighters in the division. A match-up between the two titans has been talked about for years, and rightly so. Arguably, Khabib hasn’t fought someone at his caliber, and Ferguson might change just that.

With both fighters at the peak of their prowess, the match-up will surely be among the most unpredictable and greatest fights of all time.
