The upcoming bout between Tony Ferguson and Justin Gaethje has everyone brainstorming the possible outcomes. However, the sheer unpredictability of the matchup itself makes it impossible to determine a winner.

The fact that El Cucuy is riding a 12-fight-win streak and is arguably one of the most dangerous fighters out there inevitably gives him a better stance in the predictions.

But UFC Lightweight Paul Felder does not feel that way. He has his money riding on The Highlight. In a discussion on SportsCenter, Felder said,

“Man, everything about this guy [Justin Gaethje] is action-packed. The Highlight fits him so well. You couldn’t have picked a better nickname for this kid. He moves forward. He attacks the body. As you heard him say in his quote earlier that he’s gonna touch the body and he’s gonna touch that chin. And I think he’s just got a special kind of power in both his hands. Paul Felder supports team Gaethje for Justin Gaethje vs. Tony Ferguson

Of course, Ferguson saves his “bad boys” for the better fighters. And he did state that he will bring them out in the bout with Gaethje.

What’s interesting is that Gaethje acknowledges the fact that he is going to bleed. He stated that he is mentally prepared for bleeding and that he will require a lot of patience to beat Tony. And the best way to do that is through the raw power that he houses.

Though Felder agrees with Gaethje, he did clarify that he would not be surprised if the bout goes in Tony’s favor.
