UFC superstar Sean O’Malley has made an astounding claim about his sponsorship deal with apparel giants Reebok. The sportswear giant signed a deal with the UFC back in 2015. This deal meant that fighters could not wear their other sponsors.
Consequently, several fighters signed deals with Reebok. Sean O’Malley happened to be one of those fighters, who signed a long-term deal with the apparel company.
However, ‘Suga’ revealed on Brendan Schaub’s show that he received a measly sum of money from Reebok, despite generating plenty of revenue for them.

Sean O’Malley reveals details of his Reebok deal
“I got royalties from Reebok. If I read it right, which I think I did—and I even sent it to my dad like, ‘Did I read this right?’ He said yes, so unless we both can’t read, they made over a million dollars on all my merch, and I got like $3,000,” he said.
Fighter’s pay has become a hot topic over the past few weeks. Several fighters have called out the UFC over contractual disputes. A major part of a fighter’s revenue is earned from the various sponsors. However, ‘Suga’s case seems to be a really bad one, due to the small royalty fee he received.
O’Malley revealed he was supposed to get 15% of the revenue generated. However, when he got his money, he realized it was a really weird agreement.

“It’s ridiculous. I thought I got 15%, but they’re like Well, you get 15% of this, but of this, and then these guys get it, and then you get 50% of that. I’m like holy sh*t. Then, they make all these sweet shirts on Reebok … and I’m like don’t buy that!”
However, it’s only the start of the ‘Suga’ show, O’Malley can be assured he’ll be racking in big money if he continues on the same wave.
