“I’ve already said I’m going to fight DC. He just likes to make noise. My team is working on securing a training location and dates w UFC. I have five belts at home. I don’t need to sit on anything. If I didn’t have a torn retina, I would’ve already fought & retired” said Miocic on twitter

The fights between the two heavyweight titans have been legendary, to say the least. Cormier was victorious the first time around, knocking out Stipe in the very first round. However, the rematch proved to be an intense bout, with Miocic securing the victory in a hard-fought battle in the 4th round. However, irrespective of the bad blood shared between the two legends, a title fight between Cormier and Ngannou is a serious possibility.
“That’s if Stipe won’t fight,” Cormier said during the UFC 249 post-fight show. “If Stipe won’t fight then Francis Ngannou has earned a title fight. If somebody’s fighting Francis Ngannou for the title, it’s going to be me. “ said Cormier at UFC 249 post-fight
However, with Miocic hinting at potential retirement, fight fans from around the world are itching for a trilogy bout between the two.
