Ronda Rousey is the former UFC woman’s champion and a Mixed Martial Arts Hall of Famer. She recently through her Instagram account posted a video. The video was in relation to the recently broken out pandemic COVID-19 and how she is preparing and being cautious about the whole situation.
Her post was captioned, “Our coronavirus panic shopping list is: Nonexistent.” Which already comes off as a trigger point to many. It comes off as her rubbing it in on us her position of privilege and how it’s so much easier for her to stay afar and safe from this pandemic.
The caption continued to talk about her recent organic venture and how that has eventually turned into a life-saving strategy. She wrote, “It’s no secret I’ve been a proud preppier for years- but let’s all learn from this pandemic panic and be a little more self-sufficient and prepared in the future. Taking steps to live sustainably takes time but ultimately saves money, permanently eliminates water and power bills, reduces our carbon footprint, and is just plain healthier.”
She’s honestly trying to promote self-sustainability. But this wasn’t received in the right light by the 250,000 viewers who made the video go viral. The comment section is filled with hate. People hammering her left right and center for this post.
“I have a farm too, but I kinda feel like you’re flexing on people at a bad time. Some advice from a fan,” A critique of her post said in the comment section. The other comments on her post weren’t this gentle.
