Stipe Miocic ‘The Silencer’ can very well cement himself as the Greatest Heavyweight in UFC by repeating what he did in his last appearance against Daniel Cormier on his upcoming headliner at UFC 252.

Heavyweight champion Miocic will want to put a stop to his epic rivalry with DC on August 15 with one last dance. No wonder there’s a lot at stake for both the men.

However, both DC and Miocic have faced losses before. Although they have notched wins in most of the cases, there are some fights they might not want to look back at.

Before Miocic sets foot against Cormier on August 15, here’s a list of his losses in his pro MMA career.

Stipe Miocic MMA career losses

The heavyweight great boasts a pro record of 19 wins and three losses. 2-time champion Miocic has three successful title defenses and 9 knockouts under his name.

On the other side, his three losses have occurred with 2 knockouts and a judge’s decision. A little blot on Miocic’s otherwise stellar MMA career.

Miocic vs Struve (UFC on Fuel TV)

In 2012, a young Miocic stepped inside the cage opposite a 7-foot tall Stefan Struve. As Miocic was on a three-fight win-streak, he was billed to be the favorite.

However, Struve potentially surprised a lot of MMA fans that night. After a close-call in the first round, Struve appeared vicious in the second.

He constantly landed jabs on Miocic and forced the Croatian-American to move back. Although Miocic worked on Struve’s body with some big shots, they were not that effective.

To seal the day in his favor, Struve suddenly landed uppercuts on Miocic, and in no moment he got the knockout win at round two.

Miocic vs Dos Santos (UFC on FOX)

Two of the biggest heavyweight hard-hitters locked horns in 2014 and went to the full distance.

Miocic was once again on a three-fight win streak, and he appeared promising against Junior Dos Santos. However, the veteran Dos Santos outpointed Miocic with clean shots throughout.

Although Miocic fired back in response, he did not do enough to get the victory. The tough fought battle ended with JDS claiming the victory via unanimous decision.

Stipe Miocic vs Daniel Cormier (UFC 226)

Reviving from the loss against Dos Santos, Miocic won his next six fights back-to-back. In the process, he also became the UFC Heavyweight champion.

However, Daniel Cormier’s inception into the division brought to him a new challenge. The fight ended in a mere round.  Following an intense exchange, DC landed a right-hand jab which brought Miocic on the mat.
