Former UFC Paige VanZant has recently announced that she has tested positive for COVID-19. She believes she has contracted it from her husband and is asking the fans for their help, fans with medical experience especially.
According to her, she is experiencing severe symptoms which include headache, fever, and loss of taste and smell.

In a video titled ‘My Husband Gave Me Covid’ posted to the couple’s YouTube channel, she said, “You gave me corona”. Having a chat with her husband Austin Vanderford in the video she said “I feel terrible and I feel really sick, but I only test negative,” she said, talking about her ongoing symptoms.
“I have a fever. I’ve lost my sense of taste and smell.” her husband replied. Following this VanZant said, “And I’ve had a fever of 102 yesterday.”

Paige VanZant (13-5, 2 KOs) is a former UFC fighter who competed in the flyweight division of the UFC. She made her pro-MMA debut in 2012 and was signed with the UFC in 2014. She made her UFC debut on UFC Fight Night: Edgar vs Swanson. She won the bout via TKO in the third round.
Her last bout in the UFC was against contender Amanda Ribas on UFC 251 in July. A bout she lost in the very first round via submission.

After the bout, her contract with the UFC expired and negotiations for a new contract failed to materialize into something meaningful. VanZant wanted more money in the new contract, and the UFC did not agree to it. As a result, she chose to take up free agency.
Subsequently, Bellator’s President, Scott Coker, said he would be interested in having a conversation with VanZant. Her husband, Vanderford, also happens to be a welterweight in the same organization.
In the end, however, VanZant decided to sign a four-fight deal with the Bare-Knuckle Fighting Championship.

VanZant and her husband recently moved to Coconut Creek, Florida, to train at American Top Team under Dan Lambert. But as her BKFC debut was supposed to happen around November, her getting COVID symptoms despite testing negative has left her future uncertain.
