The Light Heavyweight bout at UFC Ajax between Anthony Smith and Glover Teixeira turned out to be just what fight fans crave for- a grueling duel involving warrior spirit and world-class technique. Of course, top man Jon Jones and his live commentary on Twitter added to the fun.
Smith has had his fair share of banter with Jones. Thus, as he started wearing out during the second round, Jones began calling him out.

While Smith managed to outclass Glover with heavy-hitting and precision, all that effort drained his energy. By the end of the second round, he looked finished. And for the rest of the fight, Glover dominated without restraint.
He came out in unbelievably good shape, took all that Smith threw at him, and remained firm on his feet. After Smith tired out, Glover began his fight. He mixed up his commendable boxing technique with Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and meted out severe punishment to his opponent.
Man Uncle Glover ain’t playing tonight

Jon Jones thought Anthony Smith would quit before the championship rounds
Although Smith had taken enough punishment at the hands of Glover, he went out on his shield to carry on for as long as he could. This determination of his has the whole UFC Universe bowing down in respect. “Bones” Jones, too, had something to say in this regard.
Was starting to wonder if Anthony was going to last until the championship rounds. Glad he answered the bell

However, Jones did not shy away from proving that he’s the ultimate champion. He has dominated the Light Heavyweight division of the UFC in a way that no one else has been able to replicate.

He has overcome every challenge that came his way with hard work and dedication. And he flaunted it even tonight, as Smith, someone who he has beaten before, faced defeat.
It seems like almost everyone who trash talk me during their fight week ends up losing. These boys thinking about being the champ instead of focusing on what it takes to get there. https://t.co/8LlrPgyHhf
