Doctors are yet to diagnose Khabib Nurmagomedov’s father for Coronavirus

Coronavirus has asserted itself as a global pandemic over the past few months. Consequently, whenever there is news of an illness, the natural question that comes up is whether it is related to Coronavirus or not. People are now concerned about Khabib’s father with the same question.

However, to the relief of his well-wishers, Coronavirus has not yet been confirmed in Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov. His friend Rabadanov later talked to Championat.com. He mentioned that the doctors are suspecting it to be flu. Abdulmanap runs a family gym in Dagestan. He holds the record for producing the highest number of combat sambo champions.

A cause of concern is the fact that several athletes are in the hospital as well.

It was due to the Coronavirus that Khabib Nurmagomedov could not take part in UFC 249. The undefeated fighter flew to Russia amidst the uncertainty behind the card. He later revealed that he could not fly back due to restrictions placed by the government. Following this, Justin Gaethje was selected as a replacement for him.

Khabib has hinted at a timeline of September for his return. However, the 155-pounds champ is extremely close to his father. If his father is not physically well by then, we may be looking at a delayed timeline for his return.
