Kamaru Usman Issues Warning to Colby Covington:- “I Need to Separate Him From Consciousness”

Colby Covington and Kamaru Usman are finally going to settle their rivalry between them inside the octagon in UFC 245 with the welterweight title on the line. There is real hatred between these two considering everything has been done and said.

Former interim champion, Colby Covington has managed to generate rivalry with basically all the top welterweights and Usman has not missed the radar either. After the fight with Tyron Woodley, Kamaru Usman and his manager were even involved in a dirty altercation with Colby Covington in the hotel. So it’s safe to assume that things will get even more heated as we get close to the fight night. 

Well, it seems Kamaru Usman is already pumped to fight Colby Covington as he sends a message to him in his recent interview with TMZ. When asked whether he wants to hurt Colby Covington, Usman replied:

“Yes. There is a certain level you don’t cross as competitors. He is out in the name of sportsmanship you stop. He has a family to go back to. But in my situation that’s a guy to where I have to let him know, you talk shit it’ll go down. So I will send him a message any way that I can. I need to separate him from consciousness until the referee pulls me off of him. If the referee does not jump to save him then I’ll have to bless him. If I need to send him up there then I am gonna send him up there.”

“I am gonna keep punching until the referee gets me off,” said the reigning UFC welterweight champion. Kamaru Usman also compares his rivalry with Colby Covington to the rivalry between Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov. He mentioned:

“At the end of the day, we are all contracted to do what we do. We are competitors at the highest level. It’s very rare to get a beef that’s actually real. To a guy you actually dislike that is running his mouth, all the elements line up. And that’s where Conor and Khabib was. All the elements lined up. So that fight became huge. In my fight, I feel like it’s the same way. This is a guy running his mouth.”

Well, Kamaru Usman is not the only one who is coming to UFC 245 with some bad intentions. Colby Covington has also threatened to end Usman’s career. With all the heat between these two fighters, it’s safe to assume that the fight is going to be very competitive.
