Daniel Cormier and Stipe Miocic unveiled the biggest Heavyweight title fight of the promotion, as they squared off in the headliner of UFC 252.

The trilogy contest had been a matter of debate since it received the official call. While many cited that the match was special as it was Cormier’s last, others believed it was an epic matchup, slated for the history books.

Although DC failed to notch the title, losing the contest via unanimous decision, he still put on a show in his last fight. Both the men seemed sharp throughout the fight and out struck the other.

Yet, Miocic proved to be the better man tonight, retaining the UFC gold around his waist.

While DC and Miocic fought each other for the legacy, social media exploded with reactions from across the world. No wonder UFC superstars were also an inevitable part of it.

While many find it bizarre, but DC‘s bitter foe Jon Jones has had actually rooted for him. Before the fight began, Jones took to Twitter snd revealed that he wants Cormier to win the trilogy fight.

Meanwhile, two-division champion Henry Cejudo also wanted Cormier to win the battle. That’s what he told the world via Twitter, like he usually does before every UFC fight.

MMA veteran and global icon Chuck Liddell also appeared excited about Miocic vs Cormier III. However, Liddel claimed it to be weird experience with no fans in the arena for the heavyweight blockbuster.

Predictably, Michael Irvin boasted of similar enthusiasm he tweeted to express his excitement for the UFC 252 main-event.

The ‘Funky’ Ben Askren shared his opinion throughout the fight and analyzed the heavyweight matchup. Taking note to DC’s striking, Askren billed him to be the favorite before going to the final round.

NBA sensation LeBron James was rooting for Stipe Miocic in the fight. He reacted to the contest and wrote “Great Heavyweight fight”.
