Although UFC 249 has been called off, Strawweight Jessica Andrade did not refrain from a celebration. The Brazilian was seen with a huge serving of McDonald’s.
‘Bate Estaca’ defeated Rose Namajunas for the UFC Strawweight championship almost a year ago. However, she would lose the title to Zhang Weili in a brutal stoppage. Andrade’s new opponent was not announced. Looking at the current scenario, she won’t need one. Less than 24 hours ago, UFC President Dana White announced the postponement of the entire UFC 249 card.
“Today we got a call from the highest level you can go to Disney and the highest level of ESPN. Currently, the UFC has put all of its plans on hold. And it is uncertain when the company will return to action. White has announced that the UFC will be one of the first sports organization to be back. He also assured the fighters of financial safety and he plans to put at least 42 events this year. White went as far as securing an island for future fights.

It’s obviously still being, all of the infrastructures is being built right now, getting put in place,” White said to ESPN. “As we get closer to that, then I’ll start figuring out booking fights, getting guys ready. Plus, I can ship guys over there earlier and they can start training over there on the island.”
